Challenge: Many high buildings in the city centre experienced poor mobile coverage because of "the" Faraday cage phenomenon and obstructions caused by adjacent buildings.
Solution: ITT deployed a wide range of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) solutions that can adapt to different scenarios. As a result, mobile coverage is optimized in every corner of the building. Depending on the size and requirements of the building, ITT uses Fiber Optic Repeater from Rosenberger or InterReach Fusion System from Tyco/ADC. This solution generated more revenue for mobile service providers by increasing usage of their mobile networks, reducing subscriber churn and promoting revenue-generating voice and data services.
